Kunitachi Sakura Street (Sakura Dori) is a street stretching from east to west beyond Daigaku Street, which is also a cherry blossom spot, straight from the south exit of Kunitachi Station.
200 cherry trees are planted on both sides of the 1700m-long street and the four-lane road is like a tunnel of cherry blossoms with cherry trees on both sides.
This view is exactly what the name “Sakura Dori” means! You will nod your head in agreement at the name choice.
It is a street where you can take a leisurely stroll or drive with your family, and even if you drive by in a car, you will want to turn around and go back and forth again and again.
The Kunitachi Sakura Festival, held every April in Yaho Daisan Park, is a community-based festival led by the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and offers a sense of nostalgia.
Nearby is “Mamashita Spring”, which has been selected as one of the 57 best springs in Tokyo, so why not visit the area to taste the delicious spring water?
