The beautiful Tamagawadai Park is located in Ota-ku, Tokyo, on a hilly section of land that runs about 750m along the Tama River.

There are many places of interest such as the Tamagawadai tumulus cluster including the Kamekoyama tumulus, an observatory, an aquatic botanical garden, and a hydrangea garden, and there are also facilities that may help historical learning, such as the Tumulus Exhibition Room where replicas of items excavated from the tumulus are displayed.

There are approximately 300 cherry trees planted in the park, and while the cherry trees in the “Jiyu Hiroba” and “Athletic Hiroba” are beautiful, the area around the “Miharashidai Hiroba,” which is located overlooking the Tama River, is a popular spot to enjoy especially beautiful cherry blossoms in a panoramic view.

The park has a large plaza and facilities for children and a cool playground for children, making it a particularly nice environment for families to enjoy.

Nearby are Horaiko Park, with its scenic natural forest and tree-filled spring, and Sengen Shrine.
