The 2km promenade leading from Zanbori River, one of the tributaries of Tama River flowing in the western part of Tachikawa to Tamagawa Josui can be enjoyed through a tunnel of cherry trees.
In the Zanbori River, the contrast between the yellow of rapeseed blossoms along the riverside and the pale pink of the rows of cherry trees on both banks shines beautifully in a splendor that is truly unique to spring.
On the Tamagawa-josui River, which continues on, the quiet greenery nestled in the 300-year-old waterway is filled with cherry blossoms that soothe and enrich the soul at the same time.
The view of Tamagawa-josui from Matsunaka-bashi Bridge, Mikage-bashi Bridge, and Suzukake-bashi Bridge is wonderful, and it is even more enjoyable to take a walk while looking back at the history of the area.
It would be a great place for a walk with family, lovers, or friends. There are many places to enjoy nature in the immediate vicinity, such as the National Showa Memorial Park and the Negawa River Greenway.
