Nippori South Park (Nippori Minami Koen) in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo is located in Higashinippori 5-chome, Arakawa Ward, surrounded by residential areas about 500 meters east of JR Nippori Station.
In the fountain plaza in the center of the park, a sculpture in the center called the “statue of dynamism” becomes a fountain, and many children and their parents play in the water in summer along with the “jabu-jabu pond” surrounding the sculpture.
Because the pond is larger than other surrounding parks, and because it is only a 6-minute walk from JR Nippori Station, many local residents as well as visitors from far away come to play in the park.
The park also has a variety of other playground equipment, including a playground complex made of rocks that look like natural stones, Tarzan ropes, a sandbox, swings, and more.
The park is also used as a walking and jogging course by local residents, as there are many trees in the park and the paths are shaded by trees.
