The ECO EDO Nihonbashi event is a delightful walk down the memory lane, reminding you of the Edo period’s wise, environment-friendly practices. The event’s activities, from wearing a Yukata to practicing Uchimizu (the Edo period practice of sprinkling water for summer cooling), promote a unique way of enjoying summer in the heart of Nihonbashi.

A major draw of this event is the ‘Symphony of Summer Wind Chimes’ spot. Five areas centered around the Nihonbashi Muromachi will feature charming Edo-style wind chimes, offering a visually refreshing and aurally soothing experience.

The path from Fukutoku Shrine to Fukutoku Forest is especially enchanting, with about 200 wind chimes adorning its sides. When illuminated at night, it’s a sight to behold.

Hidden Treasures and Prizes to Win

Adding to the fun, the wind chime spots will house seven hidden Fukujin wind chimes. Finding these chimes could bring you good luck.

You can even participate in a campaign simply by posting your photos of these chimes or any event spot on Instagram. This can win you movie tickets or shopping vouchers for Nihonbashi.
