Located in Hachioji City, Ryonan Park metropolitan park is named after its location on the south side of Musashi-ryo Cemetery, and has a seemingly unusual location, being divided into east and west by the Minami-asagawa River.
On the east side of the park is a playground surrounded by zelkova trees, and next to it is a municipal swimming pool.
The bank facing the Minami-Asa River on this side of the park offers a wonderful view, especially in spring when the cherry trees are in full bloom, making it a great cherry blossom viewing spot, and in fall when you can see a row of colored ginkgo trees.
On the west side of the park, there is a baseball field, a water playground where children can enjoy playing with water, an observation deck, and a service center equipped with an AED.
There are about 50 cherry trees planted around the “Jabu Jabu Pond,” so families can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in the spring.
There are rows of ginkgo and zelkova trees in the surrounding area, so be sure to pass by them on your way to and from the park.
