Located along the Tamagawa-josui waterway spanning Koganei, Kodaira, Nishi-Tokyo, and Musashino cities, Koganei Park is the largest of its kind in Tokyo, covering approximately 79 hectares.

The basic theme of the park is “spacious space of flowers and greenery,” and the park is rich in flowers and greenery, including spacious grassland, surrounding wooded areas, and a cherry blossom garden.

The cherry blossom garden and the approximately 1,700 cherry trees planted in the center of the park have been selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan, making it a must-see destination in spring.

Most of the wooded area is a bird sanctuary, so it is recommended to take a leisurely stroll with your family as nature remains intact. There is also a cycling course nearby, where you can rent bicycles for a ride.

In the surrounding area, there are many places to enjoy nature, such as the beautiful cherry trees lining the banks of the adjacent Tamagawa-josui, Musashino Chuo Park, and Inokashira Park.
