This is a metropolitan park opened in 1964, spreading along the Zempukuji River in Suginami Ward. Since the park is located along the meandering river, the trees and scenery change little by little, and the beauty of the scenery, together with the changes of the four seasons, will never bore you.
There are about 400 Somei-Yoshino and Yamazakura cherry trees planted throughout the park, all of which are about 30 to 40 years old, and they are young and vigorous and bloom beautifully.
The river is lined with many bridges, and the changing scenery on both banks of the bridges is beautiful, especially the 1.5 km stretch of cherry trees from the Jinzu Bridge to the Ozaki Bridge near the upper stream.
There are many open spaces where children can play, so families can relax and enjoy cherry blossom viewing.
In the neighborhood, there is Wadabori Park downstream of the Zempukuji River, which also has beautiful cherry blossoms, and you can enjoy cherry blossoms there as well.
