Higo Hosokawa Garden previously named the Shin Edogawa Park is a park developed on the site of the Hosokawa family, which is selected as one of the 100 best historical gardens in Japan.

The park is centered around a circular fountain garden that takes advantage of the topography with many springs from Mejirodai.
The park offers a variety of scenery from season to season and is used as a place of relaxation for local residents.

The garden is especially popular with visiters to tokyo in the autumn when the leaves turn red and in the winter when the ground is covered with snow.
It is said that the Name “Kanda River” comes from the fact that the Kanda River running in front of the garden used to be called “Edogawa” (Edo River).
