These two parks are located adjacent to each other at the intersection of Yokojuma River and Sendaihori River in Koto-ku, Tokyo.
Sendai Horikawa Park is the largest water park in Tokyo with a length of 3.7 km and an area of 10.4 ha, developed under the theme of “Forest for Ward Residents,” and has seven unique forests, including Fureai-no-Mori (Friendship Forest) and Fruits Forest, and rows of cherry trees.
The two parks are quite large and intersect each other, so it is a bit long to walk around them. There are bicycle paths and greenway parks in the area, so it would be a good idea to bring your family’s bicycles and go cycling.
There are many parks in the neighborhood, including Minamisuna Ryokudo Park and other parks up to the Museum of Contemporary Art, so there is an abundance of greenery.
Picnicking with a packed lunch, viewing cherry blossoms in spring, and playing in the water in summer are recommended.
