Located on the east side of Arakawa Ward next to the Sumida River, Shioiri Park was planned as a disaster prevention center for the Koto area together with Higashi-Shirahige Park on the opposite shore.

Under the theme of “a riverside plaza park with vitality and richness, colored with rich and diverse waterfront and greenery,” a wide variety of facilities have been installed, including tennis courts, a barbeque plaza, a lawn square, an outdoor stage, and a view of the Sumida River from the observation area in the lawn square.

Other facilities include a large fountain near the entrance, a sundial in the sundial plaza, and other facilities unique to this park, as well as an open space with a beautiful view of the Tokyo Sky Tree.

The surrounding area is also home to new facilities such as LaLa Terrace Minami-Senju, a large shopping mall just a short walk from nearby Minami-Senju Station, making the stroll to the park an enjoyable environment.
