From August 11th to 13th, 2023, experience a splash of culture and fun at the Water & World Festa held at Saitama Shintoshin’s Keyaki Square in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture.

Reviving a Southeast Asian Tradition
Making its vibrant return after four years, this festival is inspired by the Songkran festival celebrated in Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. Songkran is a traditional event where participants pour water on each other, hoping for a bountiful harvest and warding off any misfortunes. Saitama Shintoshin brings a tailored version of this event to its grounds.
Splashing Fun: Mizukake Time

During the Mizukake Festival & World Festa, water fights are scheduled twice daily: from 11:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00. Revelers in the designated water splashing area arm themselves with water guns and other tools to engage in refreshing battles. Little attendees aren’t left out either; a special pool for children under 3 is set up in the adjacent grassy area.
Savor the World: The World Festa

Parallel to the water festivities is the World Festa, offering a gastronomic journey with stalls serving delicacies from Asia, Europe, Africa, and beyond. From tantalizing Thai dishes to delectable European and African sweets, there’s a world of flavors to explore. And for the culture enthusiasts, the festival features live performances, including traditional dances and ethnic music from around the globe.
After indulging in spirited water activities, satisfy your appetite at the World Festa. It promises a day well-spent!
