Omoide Yokocho is a lively laneway at the west exit of Shinjuku Station in an area that has inherited its history from the postwar black market.

It is a rare spot where the atmosphere of the good old Showa period remains intact.

Omoide Yokocho means Memory Lane but is also has the far less romantic nickname of Piss Alley.
