The Grand Event: Makuhari Beach Fireworks Festa 2023

Makuhari Beach Fireworks Festa

The Makuhari Beach Fireworks Festa, also known as the Chiba Citizens Fireworks Festival, will take place at Makuhari Seaside Park in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. Returning to its regular scale for the first time in four years, the event promises a memorable evening of spectacular pyrotechnics.

The Fireworks Display

Visitors can look forward to around 20,000 fireworks, among the largest numbers launched in Japan. The show will feature traditional “shakudama” fireworks, innovative “gradation fireworks” that display color changes, and sea fireworks that color the sea surface.

The grand finale, weaving together approximately 10,000 fireworks with a mix of “Brocade Crown Chrysanthemum” and sea fireworks, will fill the night sky with golden light. It’s a sight to behold and sure to leave everyone awe-struck.

For this year’s event, aside from the free citizen invitation beach seats and general free invitation Messe parking lot seats, there are no other free viewing seats. To secure these free invitation seats, you need to apply in advance by June 26, 2023.
