The JRA Equestrian Park known as Bajikouen, established in 1940 by the Japan Central Horse Racing Association in Setagaya Ward, is a vast 18 hectares (about 4 times the size of Tokyo Dome) full of greenery with numerous horse-related facilities.

During the cherry blossom season in spring, the cherry blossoms and horses in the pasture area in particular create a postcard-perfect view that will remain in your memory as a unique cherry blossom scene.

At the annual “Cherry Blossom Festival,” there are many events where visitors can enjoy interacting with the horses under the cherry blossoms in full bloom, such as cute pony performances and authentic horsemanship. Families, couples, and friends can enjoy the gentle atmosphere.

If you are interested in learning horsemanship in earnest, you may want to start using the well-equipped facilities of Bajikouen during the cherry blossom season. There is no parking available, so public transportation is recommended. Kinuta Park, famous for filming movies and TV dramas, is also located nearby, making it an interesting place to explore.
