This park is located in Meguro Ward and is a recreational area for local residents around Himonya Pond in Meguro Ward. Himonya Pond, called Benten Pond, was once a reservoir for paddy field irrigation shared by Himonya Village, Ebara County, and served as “water of life” for the villagers.
Boats are available for a fee, but they are much cheaper than boats in other parks, so it is a good place to enjoy the view of the lake shore and the large fountain in the center by boat.
In addition to sports facilities such as a baseball field and tennis courts, the park has a “Children’s Animal Plaza” where you can ride small animals and ponies, so families can enjoy being close to the animals. In particular, ponies can be pulled, and a “Pony Festival” is held once a year, allowing families to enjoy the company of these adorable ponies.
Nearby are Komazawa Olympic Park, Rintsunomori Park, and other parks with ample facilities and nature.
