Originally launched in Harajuku, Tokyo in 2015, the Ice Cream Expo Aipaku has grown to become the largest ice cream event in Japan, attracting a cumulative total of 3.6 million visitors from all around the country.

Not just limited to soft serve, shaved ice, and gelato, there are also take-out and souvenir cup ice creams available. And keep an eye out for trendy collaborations, as well as exclusive event-only items.

Hate waiting in lines? The Aipaku Sweet Room, fully air-conditioned, allows you to enjoy your ice creams without the queue. For a 90-minute experience, it’s priced at 1,500 yen per person. Inside, find exclusive menu items and special photo spots.

And here’s a pro-tip: bring along your cooler bags and ice packs, as take-away is an option. Do note, entry to the event requires a ticket, priced at 300 yen in advance or 350 yen on the day.
