Obake Staircase (Ghost Stairs) is a mysterious stone staircase near Nezu Shrine where it is said that the number of steps you take when climbing up is different from the number of steps you take when descending. It is also called “Ghost Slope” .

There are 40 steps to go up and 39 steps to go down. It is also known as a haunted spot where rumors like urban legends abound.
This area is just on the border of The Yamanote line, so there are many stairs and slopes and not many pedestrians.
