Rinkai Ball Field in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo is a ball field built in the upper space of the water treatment facility of the Sewerage Bureau’s Kasai Water Reclamation Center located at the mouth of the Arakawa River in Rinkai-cho, Edogawa-ku.
The 50,000-square-meter site has two futsal courts, four youth baseball fields (two for general baseball use), and two all-weather, artificial turf multi-purpose fields (all of them for rugby, football, lacrosse, and other sports). Both of these grounds are located on top of the facility and have a very open feel, partly because there are no buildings nearby.
Futsal courts can be reserved through Edogawa Ward’s “Edonet,” a facility reservation network. For other facilities, please visit the management office directly to make a reservation.
In addition to the waterfront ball field, the Sewerage Bureau’s Kasai Water Reclamation Center has a “Children’s Square” for visitors and is known as a cherry blossom viewing spot in spring, making it ideal not only for sports but also for strolling and cherry blossom viewing.
It is about a 20-minute walk from Nishi-Kasai Station on the Tokyo Metro Line or Kasai Rinkai Koen Station on the JR Keiyo Line. Take the Keisei Bus from Kasai Station on the Tokyo Metro and get off at the Kasai Water Reclamation Center stop. Parking space is available for approximately 30 cars.
Hours of use are from 8:00 to 21:00.
The soccer field at Rinkai Ball Stadium in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo, was built on top of the Kasai Water Reclamation Center of the Bureau of Sewerage and is located on the north side of the park.
The ground is an all-weather artificial turf field that can be used not only for soccer, but also for lacrosse, football, rugby, and other sports.
