The Sumida Edo Kiriko Museum is an Edo-style glass-making workshop and shop that has been in business for over 100 years.
In addition to selling souvenirs, the museum also has a workshop where visitors can try their hand at making their own original glassware.
Edo stye Kiriko is a traditional craft that was born in the late Edo period as a daily necessity for the townspeople.
This facility introduces the history of Edo glass making and exhibits and sells works by Edo faceters who have passed down the traditional techniques from generation to generation.
In the hands-on learning program, visitors can actually try their hand at Edo faceting.
