Located in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, Hamarikyu Gardens is a representative feudal lord’s garden of the Edo period with a tidal pond, the only one in Tokyo that draws seawater from Tokyo Bay, and two duck ponds.

The tidal pond is the only one of its kind in Tokyo, and is a rare example of the style used in seaside gardens, where seawater is drawn in to change the appearance of the pond according to the ebb and flow of the tide.

The park is planted with about 100 cherry trees, and from early to mid-April, from Someiyoshino (around the middle gate) to Yaezakura (around the tidal pond), the best time to view the cherry blossoms continues.

Hamarikyu Gardens

The water bus takes you directly to the garden, making it very convenient for families and friends to enjoy viewing cherry blossoms in an authentic garden setting.

The old Tsukiji Market is located nearby, so you can enjoy not only the sight but also the taste.
