The illumination of Tokyo Midtown in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is a vast illumination event that will is held from Mid November to December 25 throughout the entire Tokyo Midtown site.

The romantic theme of the illumination begins with the tree illumination at the Midtown entrance along Gaien Higashi Dori Avenue, where visitors will be greeted by a giant three-tiered snowman, the “Midtown Snowman”.

In the center, Canobie Square is home to the “Magical Forest Christmas Tree,” a six-meter tall fir tree. This Christmas tree is a reproduction of a Christmas tree in Finland, the home of Christmas, and is decorated with traditional straw work “Himmeri” (a mobile based on an octahedron made of straw) and natural white light to create a warm atmosphere.

The “Starlight Garden” on the lawn is the most popular illumination in Tokyo Midtown. The “Motion Illumination,” introduced for the first time in Japan this year, creates a spectacular outer space with approximately 280,000 LEDs. The illumination is performed from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
